### ✅ **STEP 1: Make Sure You’re a BMI Writer**
You must be a registered BMI songwriter/composer.

### ✅ **STEP 2: Register the Song “I’m Dope” with BMI**
You **must register** your song before claiming any royalties.
1. Log in to your **BMI Online Account**
2. Go to: **"Works Registration"**
3. Fill out:
* Song Title: *I'm Dope*
* Writers: (Your name)
* Publisher (optional, if you have one)
* Percent splits (typically 100% to you unless otherwise)
> Wait for confirmation that your song is accepted (can take a few days if it’s not in the system yet).

### ✅ **STEP 3: Submit a Live Performance Report (Set List)**
1. Log in to your BMI account
2. Go to: **“Submit a Live Performance”** or use the **BMI Live** tool directly:
3. Fill in the required info:
* **Date of performance:** July 26, 2025
* **Venue name:** (Enter the name of the venue or event)
* **Venue city/state**
* **Venue type:** Club, Concert Hall, Festival, etc.
* **Performance type:** Solo, DJ, Band, etc.
* **Songs performed:**
* Title: *I’m Dope*
* Duration (approximate)
* **Other songs**: List all songs you performed that are registered with BMI.
4. Submit!

### ✅ **STEP 4: Wait for Royalties**
* BMI pays **live performance royalties quarterly**.
* Payments can take **6–9 months** after the performance date.

### 🔁 **Extra Tips:**
* You can submit **up to 6 months after** the show (but do it ASAP).
* You get paid even for **small club shows**, **open mics**, and **festivals**.
* If you perform often, you can **submit recurring venues** in one form.
