# 🧾 **SLAP MAGAZINE ARTIST ROYALTY AUTHORIZATION AGREEMENT** KOZY GAME SHOW

*(BMI Live Performance Reporting & Royalty Administration)*

**This Agreement** is made between:

**Slap Magazine Publishing** (“Administrator”), and

**__________________________________________** (“Artist”),

effective as of **____ / ____ / 2025**.

### **1. Purpose**

Artist hereby authorizes *

*Slap Mag LLC** to act as their *Performance Reporting Administrator* for BMI Live and other performance royalty programs, to ensure Artist’s live performances are properly reported, processed, and paid through BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.).

### **2. Services Provided**

Slap Magazine agrees to:

* Report Artist’s live performances to BMI Live on their behalf.

* Track and manage performance submissions.

* Collect royalties from BMI for said performances.

* Provide Artist with quarterly statements showing earnings and deductions.

* Pay Artist their agreed share via Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, or check.

### **3. Artist Obligations**

Artist agrees to:

* Maintain an active BMI Writer Account.

* Ensure all original songs performed are properly registered with BMI.

* Submit accurate show information (venue, city, date, setlist, and proof).

* Authorize Slap Magazine to receive BMI payments related to their live performances.

### **4. Royalty Split**

All BMI Live performance royalties collected under this agreement shall be distributed as follows:

**Slap Magazine Publishing** | 30% | Administrative service fee for reporting, tracking, and distribution |

*The 30% fee covers submission handling, admin labor, accounting, and communication with BMI.*

### **5. Payment Schedule**

* Payments are made **quarterly**, following BMI’s distribution calendar.

* Slap Magazine will remit Artist’s share within **14 business days** after funds are received.

### **6. Term**

This agreement shall remain in effect for **12 months** from the date signed, and will automatically renew unless terminated in writing by either party with 30 days’ notice.

### **7. Termination**

Artist may terminate this agreement at any time with written notice. Any pending royalties already collected or reported remain subject to the 70/30 split for that payment cycle.

### **8. Independent Relationship**

Both parties acknowledge that this is not an employment relationship. Slap Magazine acts as an independent administrator for royalty collection and reporting services only.

### **9. Governing Law**

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of **California, Oregon, Nevada, Illinois, Georgia, Florida, and New York **.

### ✅ Optional Add-On Clauses

1. **Data Rights Clause:** Slap Magazine may use aggregate, non-personal performance data for marketing or reporting purposes.

2. **Promotion Clause:** Artist grants Slap Magazine permission to feature them in social media or publication as a participant in the Royalty Program.

3. **Referral Bonus Clause:** Artist receives $10 credit or royalty bonus for each new artist they refer to the program.
